Three and a half years developing and maintaining digital platforms across retail, healthcare and food — process automation, internal tooling and UX, with React/Redux SPAs alongside SharePoint Online and SAPUI5 enterprise interfaces.
Overview
The longest stretch of my career, and the one that taught me most: multiple sectors, multiple platforms, and systems that had to keep working long after the project that built them ended.
I contributed across the full development lifecycle — requirement analysis, UI architecture, code review and production deployment — rather than only implementation.
Problem
Retail, healthcare and food operations run on processes that are mostly manual and mostly undocumented; the work is turning those into software without freezing a process that still has to change.
Enterprise platforms like SAPUI5 and SharePoint Online come with constraints that rule out most modern frontend habits.
Solution
- Led React/Redux single-page application development for the parts of the system that justified a modern stack.
- Delivered SharePoint Online customizations and SAPUI5 interfaces where the client's platform dictated the tooling.
- Node.js backend services connecting the two.
